Charles Daly high quality 12 ga. hammer gun. 30″ Damascus barrels marked “Charles Daly Laminated Steel” on the top rib.
A wonderful original example that has been tucked away for many years. Produced by the celebrated Heinrich A. Lindner, the barrels bear the signature crossed pistols with crown above. Nearly all the original lustrous chocolate Damascus pattern remains to provide a visual delight. The action retains rich case colors that add a jewel-like quality to the miniature game scenes. Note the sculptured top lever shimmering with fire blue finish.
Round pistol grip stock of fabulous figured walnut appears alive like smoldering polished amber, most certainly from the Odenwald Forest. Length of pull 14″. Locks up like a bank vault, weighs 7 lbs, 3oz.
Just as you like to find them, an untouched example of what many consider the finest ever made.
